Description

Halloween evening. The sun sends it's last warm rays of light through the leaves before night falls and this night will be very different! It is said, that there will be ghosts and evil spirits, that will take the souls of everyone they can catch.
But the little elf is not afraid. He starts playing a wonderful tune as his pumkin starts to shine it's light. Nothing will happen to him and with his faithful heart and the lovely melody he is playing, he creates a sacred place where everyone will be safe.

I wanted to paint something new for this halloween, I started quite early but it's not finished yet, so I have to upload this old painting from 2005. I like the mystical athmosphere at halloween. This picture shows my feelings.
I had no reference for the pumpkin, the elf or the animals, didn't use any reference for the foreground. For the background I used some photos I took as a reference. Painting the leaves almost made me crazy haha XD
